It has been years since I have been into a Pawn Shop. I went to 5 Star Pawn to look at a pen from their online catalog of goods. I found the shop to be clean, bright and well organized. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. All of my questions were answered and at no time did I feel rushed, or pressured. The pen was in exactly the condition as it was described. My purchase experience was excellent. I will be a repeat customer and I highly recommend 5 Star Pawn.

I enjoy dealing with these folks, I brought a few items to sell, and did okay. I also found one item that I definitely needed through them which was cool. The reason why I cannot give them five stars is because of absurd high prices on their items for sale. Absurd!! They have inventory overflowing the shelves and almost up to the ceiling yet their prices on grimey* used music equipment- is BARELY below retail. The same sad items are still sitting there priced at hundreds of dollars. Why is that?! They notify me when they're closed, give me a shout when you're going to discount music gear. Honestly looks like you don't want to resell anything. I'm guessing they could care less.

Took a few ounces of 999 silver up here today, expecting to get low balled or even slightly scammed but was pleasantly surprised by offer which was only about 25 under spot price. Only figured this out after getting home so I wanted to leave a good review and tell you that they are definitely fair if not better than most other pawn shops. Thanks!
